Nawab Sardar Brahamdagh Khan Bugti is a prominent leader of Jamhoori Watan Party in Balochistan, Pakistan. Brahamdagh Khan Bugti is the son of Nawabzada Rehan Khan Bugti , Fauzia Bugti,the brother of Zabad Bugti and Zaamur(the wife of Bakhtyaar Dombki). He's the grandson of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti. The Jamhoori Watan Party‎ split and Brahamdagh Khan Bugti was the leader of his own faction, later he renamed it as Baloch Republican Party. Talal Akbar Bugti is the leader of the second faction of Jamhoori Watan Party‎.

He is wanted by the Pakistani Government on Terrorism Charges Against the People of Pakistan.

Brahamdagh deserved to be the Nawab of the Bugti Tribe he had been a claimant to the title until May 13th 2009 .Nawab Akbar Bugti wanted his grandson Brahamdagh to be the Nawab because when Rehan Khan Bugti (the Beloved son of Nawab Akbar Bugti) died Brahamdagh Khan was only 9 and his grandfather Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti became his Caretaker it is said Brahamdagh did whatever his grandfather told him to do. He wasn't even allowed to get out of his house if Nawab didn't allow him, he went on the foot steps of his Grandfather. Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti told his tribe that he wished to make Brahamdagh the Nawab but after the death of Nawab Akbar Bugti, The Pakistani Army and some of the Waderas of Bugti tribe (who were jealous from Brahamdagh's success) appointed his cousin Mir Aali as the successor to their grandfather, the slain Nawab Akbar Bugti. Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti in his lifetime made his people aware of the fact that he didn't want his son Salim or grandson Mir Aali to be Nawab as they aren't capable of the throne.

Controversy

Mr Bugti is one the most controversialist figure in Balochistan and one of the most discussed person in the media. Pakistani state claim that he is in Afghanistan where he is carrying terrorist actives in Balochistan, However where Mr Bugti, his supporters and Baloch nationalists claim that he is inside Balochistan.Mir Aali Bugti who returned back to Dera Bugti in Sui town after three years of hiding which a shock to Baloch insurgencies and nationalist movement but for government it was a good omen.

The controversy raises here that who will be the next true successor of the Bugti tribe. Other side their uncle Talal Bugit claim that his father nominated his son Shazain Bugti to be next successor of the Bugti tribe. On 17th May 2009 fighting erupted in Dera Bugti which killed two people, news agency claimed that fighting was between two groups of Bugti tribe which signs there are some elements which neither want to Brahamdagh Khan Bugti or some don’t love to see Talal Bugit’s son Shazain Bugti , or Nawabzada Mir Aali Bugti to be successors of the tribe.[1]

Allegation

Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik claimed^[1] that UN worker John Solecki who was kidnapped and released.Rehman Malik who is known by everyone as the 'King of Liars' claimed that Brahamdagh kidnapped Solecki. Bugti denied the allegation in an interview to Aaj TV that he had kidnapped John Solecki by saing I urge every country to give my people liberty give my Baloch people their rights so why would I kidnap an American?

On another occasion, Pakistan's former president Gen. (Retd) Pervez Musharaf endorsed the fact that Brahamdagh Khan is spreading terrorism inside Pakistan and is supported by Kabul and Indian intelligence agencies^[2]. He was answering to the questions after his speech at India Today CONCLAVE 2009 - Challenges of Change where he repeated this fact twice and said that Pakistani Government has all these facts on record. It's a fact that Musharraf who's known as 'Bush'arraf because of his best friendship with George Bush to destroy the nation, Musharraf hates every Baloch person on Earth.
